7 Months

During my blog vacation, I missed doing a post about Zach's 7 Months milestones...

At 7 months, he is weighing in at about 22 pounds

He is still doing his three meals a day and 4 bottles a day and I have also started giving him some snacks, teething cookies and puffs. He loves it! He is also doing really well holding his cup!

He is crawling EVERYWHERE. He is also going from stomach to sitting.

He has some territorial issues with Luke. If Luke tries to take a toy from Zach or get too close to his personal space, he starts kicking his little legs and crying!

He is a wiggle worm when you are changing his diaper or clothes, so I sing Old McZach had a Farm to him and he seems to immediately calm down and listen!

He is soooo much fun and daily is getting his own little personality!

I love you soooo sooo very much Zach!!!

I'M BACK!

Hi!! Sorry everyone, I took a little blog vacation! Zach has started a new little thing at night...he takes a little cat nap from 8:30 to 9:30 each night...and he takes this nap in my lap...and I love it!! Its the best hour of the entire day. So for the past few weeks, when he is ready to take his nap, I find myself sitting, rocking, staring at him and kissing his little forehead and hands. I am sure that all of you that read my blog have missed seeing pictures of the boys, but I have to say...I have enjoyed my hour of quiet time soo soo much with Zach!

The past few weeks have been busy busy around our house. I will try to recap things as best as I can. I will also (tomorrow) do Zach's 7 month old post.

Our weeks lately have been filled with work, school and soccer practice. Two weeks ago, I took Luke and Zach to see Dr. Pat for flu shots and she determined that Zach needed to go see the ENT about having tubes put in his ears. We should be hearing from the ENT about an appointment sometime next week.

Zach has officaly started crawling! He is everywhere. He is pulling up on things too. He is one busy little guy.

I had my first parent/teacher conference with Luke's teacher and he is doing great in school! He had a good report in all areas. He is learning to write his name and is doing great with that. He is also learning to write other letters and he recognizes by sight numbers 1-10, about 3/4 of his letters, all colors and all shapes. He went on his first school field trip last week and he had a great time.

During my "vacation", I missed wishing my sweet niece Alexis a Happy Birthday on October 13th! So HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALEXIS, WE LOVE YOU!!

This week we are getting ready for Halloween! Luke is very excited and gets to do a Trick or Treat at school on Friday with his costume! I sent out the monthly pictures today...so be looking for yours in the mail!

Hope that everyone has been doing great! I have missed blogging and I am definitely going to get back in the routine of doing it! But if Mommy and rocking duty calls again, I am afraid that sweet kisses and the smell of baby lotion will take over blogging again!

Weekend Fun!

Friday at school, Luke had "Free Dress Day". Once a month, the PTO has a day that the students can pay $2.00 and are able to wear whatever they want to school that day. Luke wore his jeans and his LSU football jersey! He also got a special treat...his Nannie and Uncle Keith picked him up from St. Patrick's on Friday and took him to the Country (aka Centreville) to the Homecoming Football game! He had a great time and got to see Grammy, Poppa, Ms. Katie, Bubba, Sissy, and Aunt SaySay, among many others! He had a great time! Thanks again to Nannie and Uncle Keith for taking him!

Saturday, we had our early morning soccer game! It was adorable, of course. Papa came to this Saturday's game. After soccer, we all had breakfast at McDonald's and then Papa and Luke went to Home Depot. For some reason, my son loves that store and according to Papa, they had to walk down every isle and look at every thing!

Sunday, Nannie called again and Luke, Zach and I went to meet her and made a surprise visit to MeMe! I have to say, I have never seen MeMe sooo excited! We had a great visit and a super delicious lunch at Morel's. Thanks MeMe for the special treat! We also made a visit to Uncle Kenny, but missed seeing Aunt Lou and Weazer! Hopefully next time!

Hope everyone had a great Monday! I am hoping those cooler temps that we had last week make a return VERY soon!

PS: No crawling yet...still just rocking back and forth on his knees...but he is saying "Da, Da, Da, Da" (which TRILLS Jeff to no end) and what appears to be "bye, bye, bye, bye"...

Another Milestone Reached

Well, no to the complete crawling yet...thankfully, because I can only handle one milestone thing at a time! Today...Zach went from laying on his belly, pushing up onto his hands and knees and then into a sitting position...ALL ALONE!! Tears...

He does it soo quickly, that I couldn't get any pics...but I did get this one...look at my sweet baby. All that moving and sitting and fun toys are just soo tiring on a little fella'!!

Is this the cutest, sweetest, I want to kiss all over those little cheeks face you have ever seen in your entire life!!??

I LOVE LOVE LOVE me some Zach Attack!!!

How Much Does Luke love his Nannie???

It's a long standing joke between me and Luke's Nannie (my sister)! I taught Luke long long ago the following:

Me: Luke, how much do you love Mommy?
(from the pic below, you see that he spreads his arms as wide as he can!!)

Me: Luke, how much do you love you Nannie?
(from the pic below, you will see that I have trained him to pinch his fingers together showing "just a whittle bit")!!

I know that it just ruffles Renee's feathers to NO end! But it is just soo cute! In all seriousness, he LOVES LOVES LOVES his Nannie to death and she is such a good Nannie to him! He is one lucky little guy!

(BTW...has anyone else been noticing that every picture I post of Luke...he has NO clothes on??? What the heck??!! THIS IS DEFINITELY A NANNIE TRAIT!!)

Shout Out to My Favorite Neighba'

Yesterday, my sweet neighba' Ms. Shantasha (as Luke calls her) came over with this cute little outfit that someone sent to her for Asher. It's a little tooo big for little Asher so she was sweet enough to bring it over for Zach to get some use of it! Such a good neighba'!

Thank you again, Ms. Shantasha for the cute little outfit and for being such a good neighba' to us! Also, let's all keep Ms. Shantasha in our prayers this week. She is a 1st grade teacher at NWE, where Luke goes to school (hence the inside pictures from Luke's first day of school!!). She will be returning back to work next week from her maternity leave and I can speak for all Mom's of the world and say that it is one of the hardest things to do as a Mom! I wish her the best of luck in this transition.

Let the Games Begin

Soon....very soon...like any day now...Zach is going to crawl! Oh! My! Goodness!!! Let the Games Begin!! I have been cleaning my floors and trying to get every little piece of anything off of the floor and out of the way for when it happens! He gets on his little knees and rocks back and forth....he hasn't quite figured out yet to move his hands and actually move yet, but its coming and its coming quick!!! He is just growing tooo fast for me!!!'

Friday, Luke, Zach and I had dinner with Nannie and Uncle Keith at one of our favorite places, Que Pasa! It was delicious as always! Saturday morning we had soccer, which is always soo cute! Those little guys and girls are just precious! I love watching it, even if it does mean getting up early on Saturday morning!! After soccer, I recruited my sweet sister to go grocery shopping with me! She and Luke entertained themselves in the Halloween costumes and the toys while I made groceries! Thanks Nannie for being such a trooper and helping me out!

When I was shopping, I found pumpkins! October and November are two of my favorite months! I love Fall and all of the things that Fall brings. So I purchased some mini-pumpkins and busted out the fall leaves and did my mantel! It's about a weekend early, but I love it!!

Sunday, has been a typical lazy day in the Hubbard House! I cooked a big pot of Shrimp and Corn soup, made homemade chocolate chip cookies and took a big ole nap with my "3 Men"!

Leaving everyone with some pics of my babies! I will be sure to make an official announcement when the first move is made by Zach!!!
